Election Commissioner Brigadier General (Retd.) has confirmed that journalists and observers will be able to enter the polling station using mobile phones on the day of the 13th National Assembly elections. Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah said on Monday (Feb. 9) that he had visited the booth for journalists at the election building premises in Agargaon.
Earlier, the commission had learned that the general voters would not be able to take mobile phones within 400 yards of the polling stations, but two Ansar members who were the presiding officer, the police in-charge, the specific Ansar member and the two Ansar members who were using the ‘Election Protection 2026’ app were beyond the limits. With this new clarification, the clerk of the election day has been conveniently carried out by the journalists and observers.
