The incident of RTV senior reporter Aranya Gafur and sub-editor Mahfuz Uddin Khan was fired unfairly.
On Monday (August 20), Acting President of BFUJ Obaddur Rahman Shahin, Secretary General Quader Gani Chowdhury and DUJ President Shahidul Islam and General Secretary Khurshid Alam expressed this concern in a joint statement.
The leaders said the RTV authorities had fired two journalists without following any policy and the allegations brought against them were unacceptable.
The journalist leaders demanded immediate reinstatement of Aranya Gafur and Mahfuz Uddin Khan in the service, otherwise they warned that the RTV authorities will bear the next situation.
