In the July revolution, 13 revolutionaries were shot dead in Laxmipur in Laxmipur on August 4. The accused has arrested Mehedi Hasan Raju, the vice-president of the Chhatra League of Ramganj Upazila, the accused.

On the news of Raju's arrest, the leaders and activists of the July Revolution, including the BNP-wide BNP, expressed their joy at the news of Raju's arrest. On Saturday afternoon, the angry locals staged a protest at the police station demanding Raju's trial.
