The much-anticipated new design notes are coming to the market in the next two-one days. The first phase is being released with 1000 crores. The journey starts with 20 and 50 rupee notes but all types of money notes will be gradually added to the new notes. The design includes the history of the country, tradition and graffiti of the July movement.
After the change of power, the new notes with the image of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman decided not to release in the market, the interim government was blocked, which has led to the market crisis, which has increased the amount of torn notes, which has been inflicted with all kinds of transactions.
But the suffering is going to end, and the new notes are being released in the market in a short time. First of all, 20 and 50 rupee notes will be available. After a week, 1000 rupee notes will also be available. 1000 crore is being released in the first phase.
Bangladesh Bank Executive Director Arif Hossain Khan said that in this month two or three notes will be available in the market, if not all the notes, since it is not possible to print all the notes together, but initiatives have been taken. He also said that the print work is going on.
At present, two government and 7 bank notes are in the market, and the government has decided to reprint all 9 types of notes, said Bangladesh Bank director of time due to major changes in design.
He said the government has decided to create new designs of 9 types of notes starting from 2 rupee notes. Notes are changing after a long time. If the changes earlier, there would have been little changes but this time there may be a big change.
At the same time, the history, tradition and portrait of the ‘July Movement’ are gaining importance in the new design notes.
He added that Bangladesh will have its place in history and heritage, which may include Ahsan Manzil, Sixty Dome Mosque, Sundarbans, Tiger and Deer, while some notes will also have the graffiti of the July movement.
