Chief Advisor Professor Dr. reached Qatar on a four-day official visit. Muhammad Yunus landed at Doha's Hamad International Airport at 9:40 PM local time on Monday (April 22).
On social media, the press secretary of the chief adviser, Shafiqul Alam, said that on arrival at the airport, Professor Yunus was given a red carpet reception, and he was officially welcomed by the head of protocol and ambassador of Qatar, Ibrahim Fakhru.
Earlier, on Monday (April 21) at 7 pm, he left for Qatar from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.
The Chief Advisor will participate in the ‘Earthna Summit 2025’ in Qatar. The press wing has informed that Professor Muhammad Yunus is going on the visit at the invitation of the country's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
Apart from attending the summit, there is a possibility of meeting the Chief Advisor with the Emir of Qatar.
‘The Summit will be held for the second time under the theme ’Building our Legacy: Sustainability, Innovation and Traditional Knowledge', which will highlight Qatar's traditional culture and unique ecological diversity to promote sustainable development in the country's warm and dry climate.
April 22 and 23—the two days of the summit will be discussed through presentations, interactive panel discussions, workshops and round table meetings.
