After 20 Ramadan, any odd night can be Shab Qadr. But on the night of 26th of Ramadan, Shab Qadr comes in the opinion of many scholars. As such, today it may be the holy Lailatul Qadr or Shab Qadr. ‘Shab Qadr’ is a Persian word. Shab means night or Rajni. And Qadr means honor, dignity, potential, chance, fortune, etc.
It will be celebrated with due religious dignity and solemnity on Thursday (March 27) day, since the Arabic day starts from sunset, the month of holy Shaba Qadr will come to the worshipers from evening onwards.
The Holy Qur'an was revealed on the night of Lailatul Qadr in the holy month of Ramadan, so devout Muslims will be busy in worshiping at home and in the mosque, in the mosque, reciting the Holy Qur'an, recitation, zikir, doa and milad mahfil.
The excellence of this night is also described in various hadiths, which can be ‘Lailatul Qadr’ any day in the last decade of this month, so Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam would give so much importance to the last decade that he used to prepare for the worship in advance and spent the whole night in prayer, recitation, prayer and dhikr of the night, he would even wake up his family members to worship.
Verse 3 of Surah Qadr of the Holy Qur'an says, ‘Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months.’ As a result, this night's worship is better than the worship of a thousand months. And in a thousand months, the rest of the verses of the Surah also say that the angels descended to earth with an important decision on the order of Allah.
On the occasion of the Holy Shaba Qadr, Bangladesh Television, private satellite television channels and Bangladesh Betar and private radios will broadcast special programs.
