Former national team captain Tamim Iqbal was staying at the Bangladesh Sports Education Institute (BKSP) to play a match in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL), and he fell seriously ill during the match and was even taken on life support.
On Monday (March 24), Tamim was fielding Mohammedan's game with Shinepukur in BKSP, and he felt a severe pain in his chest.
He was given first aid at BKSP and his condition did not improve. Tamim was transferred to a local hospital and at one point he was taken on life support when his condition worsened.
It is to be noted that efforts are being made to bring Tamim to Dhaka by helicopter, but the doctors also found it very difficult to transfer him to the current physical condition.
