Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan will hold talks with Tabith Awal, President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BAFFE) tomorrow on Wednesday (March 19) on the issue of Fahmidul Islam, an expatriate footballer who plays in Italy's Serie D.
On Tuesday (March 18) afternoon, some fans protested in front of Bafuf Bhawan in Motijheel in the capital to free the syndicate of football and bring Fahmidul back to the team. Fans demanded that the young footballer who played in the forward position be called back to the national team.
Earlier, Fahmidul was called up to the Indian team for the first match, but he had flown from Italy to join the camp in Saudi Arabia, but he returned to Italy without keeping him in the main team.
In this regard, coach Javier Cabrera said, Fahmidul is a talented footballer, but he is young but he is not ready to play in the national team.
However, the agitating football fans claim that the 18-year-old talented footballer has been excluded because of the Bangladesh football syndicate and because of the syndicate.
