The court has fixed Monday (March 19) for an order on the application of the state side and the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) against the Deota bail of the High Court, the BNP chairman Khaleda Gita, who was sentenced to five years in prison.

A four-judge bench of the Appellate Division headed by the Chief Justice gave this order after the hearing on Sunday (March 18).

Attorney General Mahbube Alam held a hearing on behalf of the ACC in court, and lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan.

Senior lawyers Khandkar Mahbub Hossain and AJ Mohammad Ali heard on behalf of Khaleda Gita.
Earlier on Sunday, a massive outbreak of entry into the Supreme Court was observed, with at least four levels of security measures in place.

Among BNP leaders in the court, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain and Nazrul Islam Khan were present in the court. Barrister Maudud Ahmad, Janaul Abedin, Abdur Rezak Khan and Mahbub Uddin Khekan were among the lawyers.

On March 12, the High Court granted four months bail to Khaleda Ji. The state and the ACC filed an application in the Appellate Division on Tuesday (March 13) after the High Court's Deota was suspended for four months.

Later, the court of Appellate Division Chamber Justice Hasan Fatz Siddiqui fixed March 14 as Wednesday for the hearing of these two applications.
The Appellate Division on Wednesday asked the state and the ACC to file a leave to appeal against the bail of four months until Sunday, according to the order, the state and the ACC filed a leave to appeal on Thursday, which was heard on Sunday.
