The High Court has ordered the removal of the strong picture of the rape victim in Magura from social media, with the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) asked to implement this directive.
The High Court bench of Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Debashish Roy Chowdhury gave this order on Sunday (March 9).

The child's family told the media that a few days ago, the child had visited his sister's house in Niznanduali village in Magura suburb, where his sister's father-in-law Hitu Sheikh raped the child's throat on Thursday night (March 6).
The child was first taken to Magura Sadar Hospital in an unconscious state as his condition worsened. From there he was taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital, then he was brought to Dhaka for advanced treatment and after being brought to Dhaka, he was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The child's mother complained that the child was brutally tortured by 3 people. Not only rape, but also raped. Attempts to strangle the accused Hitu Sheikh, the locals protested in front of the police station demanding severe punishment.
