The upazila administration has conducted a strong operation to solve the traffic congestion in Ratapur town of Laxmipur.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) led the campaign on Tuesday (March 4). Imran Khan and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Shahed Arman.
In this operation, floating shops sitting illegally on the pavement were evicted and unoccupied. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Raatpur Police Station Nizam Uddin Bhuita, members of Ratapur Sena Camp and a team of police were present in this operation.
UNO Md. Imran Khan said, ‘The upazila administration is working together to solve the traffic congestion in the city. The shops and the footpaths have been evacuated and the shops sitting illegally have been evicted. At the same time, all the drivers have been made aware to keep traffic jams free and bring order to use the use of the city.‘ He further said, ’This operation will continue throughout the month of Ramadan.’ This action of the administration to solve the problem has brought a message of relief for the city dwellers.
