On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Lakshmipur district administration has formed a district special task force to keep the prices of the products in the daily life. As part of this, on Sunday, March 2, District Commissioner and District Magistrate Rajiv Kumar Sarkar conducted the market monitoring program.
During the visit, there were allegations of overpricing and not showing the crit receipt from some institutions in Chawkbazar area, but there is no price list, according to the law, District Administration Executive Magistrate Mojibur Rahman fined 6 institutions a total of Rs 8,000.
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Rajeev Kumar Sarkar said, “We have taken strict measures to keep the market value in the interest of the common people during the month of Ramadan. Instructions are given to wholesalers and retailers so that they sell products at a fair price, show price lists and save crit receipts. The operation of the district special task force will continue and there will be more strict action against such misdeeds in the future.”
In addition, the district administration has confirmed that there will be no opportunity for any kind of syndicate or dishonest businessmen in the market and they will go under the ongoing monitoring and it has been said that such operations will continue in the public interest.
