The Ministry of Liberation War has published the gazette ‘July Jodha’ for the injured in the July-August mass uprising. In the gazette published on Thursday (February 27), the names of 1401 injured people across the country have been found.
The gazette signed by the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry Haridas Tagore was published by the government under the powers given by the Order-1 (Allocation of Business) of the Rules of Business 1996 of the Ministry of Liberation War.
In the published gazette, 493 people who are unable to live without the help of others after treatment have been kept in ‘A’ category considering ‘very serious’. People of this category will get Tk 5 lakh in one time. In 2024-25 cash (through bank check) 2 lakh taka and 3 lakh taka in cash (by bank check) in 2025-26.
Besides, the ‘warriors’ in this category will get a monthly allowance of 20 thousand taka and will also get lifetime medical facilities in various government hospitals. On the recommendation of the appropriate medical board, you will get medical services in domestic and foreign hospitals, the worker will get necessary training and rehabilitation facilities, and you will also get identity cards, showing that you will get various government benefits.
And despite adequate treatment, 908 people who are able to live a life with partial support due to physical inability to live with others have been given the list of ‘seriously injured’ and published the list of ‘B’ Ministry of Liberation War. The people of this category will get a one-time Tk 3 lakh. In the financial year 2024-25, cash (through bank check) is Tk 1 lakh and 2 lakh in cash (through bank check) in the financial year 2025-26.
Besides, the ‘B’ category ‘Jodians’ will get a monthly allowance of Tk 15,000 and necessary training and workership on the basis of priority and will get the identity card and they will get various benefits of the government by showing it.
The list of these two categories has been published on the website of the Ministry on Friday (February 28). The rest of the category C will be kept in the Category C, but the list is not yet published in the form of gazette.
It is noted that earlier the list of 834 martyrs in the mass uprising was published in the form of gazette on January 15. The government will provide financial support to the families of the victims and the injured in the mass uprising.
