Nahid Islam, who has recently resigned from the post of advisor to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has known how much money is in his bank account.
On Wednesday (February 26) night, Nahid Islam published his financial information in a post on his verified Facebook ID.
Nahid writes, "I had no bank account before joining the post of advisor. On August 21, I opened a bank account in Sonali Bank to take the honorary post, and I am presenting the account of the transaction to the public from August 21, 2024 to 26 February 2025.
He wrote, 10 lakh 6 thousand 886 taka has been deposited as said. Out of which 9 lakh 96 thousand 188 taka has been withdrawn. It should be noted that this account of Sonali Bank I do not have any other account.
He also wrote, while serving as an advisor, there is no land-flat anywhere in Bangladesh in the name of me or any member of my family (wife/mother/father) or has not been created by me and my family.
The newly resigned advisor wrote, "My private secretary's Islami Bank has charged Tk 36,280 as Bangladesh. After taking the title as a private secretary, he has not been procured any property anywhere in Bangladesh in his own name or in the name of his family (wife/mother/father).
He wrote, "The information is clear about anyone's assets, including my personal officers, and will be opened in the same way. According to the Right to Information Act-2009, the said information is verifiable in any government office in Bangladesh."
