A poultry farm in Ramganj upazila of Laxmipur has been accused of killing 2,000 chickens in the garland, which was reported on Saturday morning by the victim's father, Munchur Ahmed, who filed a written complaint with Ramganj police station.
The incident took place at around 2 o'clock on Friday night in the big house adjacent to the east para Dighi of No. 7 Kawalidanga in Kanchanpur Union of the upazila, which caused a loss of about 3 lakh rupees including the farm's chickens, said the affected farm owner Rashed Alam.
Farm owner Rashed Alam said, "I went home from the farm around 2:00 on Friday night, when my cousin Suman and his wife saw the fire burning at 2 o'clock." After our call, the people around us came to the neighborhood. The water in the neighboring pond was brought into the fire.
He added that the unidentified miscreants set fire to the farm, which has caused a loss of Rs 3 lakh, including the farm's chickens, and the form was burned by the rogue. My dream was burnt to ashes.
The victim's cousin Suman said everything was fine until 1 am. Suddenly, I saw that it was a fire, because of a planned enmity, the miscreants have done such an incident. We want a fair trial.
Rashed's father Munchur Ahmed said, "For the past few years, I have been rearing chickens and selling them in the pond near the pond. My brother's son and wife called the fire at the farm around 2 am on Friday.
Ramganj police station officer-in-charge (OC) Md. Abul Bashar said that the victim's family has filed a complaint in this incident and necessary action will be taken subject to investigation.
