President Javed Rahim Bijan and General Secretary Md. Baharul Islam Mollah has been elected. Voting was held at the Brahmanbai Press Club Milnattan today Saturday from 1 pm to 4 pm. In the election, 36 members of the Brahman Bai Press Club voted for their franchise.
Earlier, two editors were elected unopposed, resulting in eight people elected in the election today.
The candidates for the election are - President Manabzamin's Staff Reporter Javed Rahim Bijan and General Secretary Staff reporter of Jatadin newspaper. Baharul Islam Molla, Senior Vice President Financial Express newspaper district representative Md. Jasim Uddin, vice-president Kurulita newspaper editor. Ibrahim Khan Sadat, Joint General Secretary Bhorer Kagaz District Representative Said Ritaz Ahmed Apu, Treasurer Bangladesh Pratidin Patrika Mosharraf Hossain Belal and Office Editor Alokit Bangladesh Patrika Farhadul Islam Parvez, Executive Member Karatar District Representative Shahjahan Saju and Eastern Media Editor Nazrul Islam Bhui.
Uncontested Bijts are - Pathaga and Krija Editor Pratidin Sangbad newspaper District Representative Mojibur Rahman Khan and Culture and Information Technology Editor Mozammel Chowdhury, District Representative of Azkal Khabar Patrika.
