Kamalnagar, Laxmipur:
Kamalnagar Coast Guard has seized 400 kg of jatka in the Meghna river in Lakshmipur Kamalnagar.
On Wednesday night (January 8) this jatka (hilsa) was seized in a raid in the river at 12 o'clock in the morning.
Coast Guard Kamalnagar Contingent Commander (CC) Abul Kalam said, 400 kg of Jhatka fish was seized in the Meghna river during the night.
The seized Jatka was later distributed among the local madrasa-orphanage and the poor and needy in the presence of Field Assistant Akidur Rahman, Mechanic Md. Menhajul Islam of Kamalnagar Upazila Fisheries Office, he said.
