Brigadier General (Retd.) Advisor to the Ministry of Shipping and Labor and Employment Dr. M Sakhawat Hossain said, ‘In the anti-discrimination movement, about two thousand young people have given their lives. The sacrifice they have made cannot be in vain. Let us all take the country together.’
He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the 56th anniversary and reunion ceremony of Khulna Government Sundarban Adarsh College on Friday (January 3).
The advisor added, ‘Even though the government Sundarban Adarsh College meets small, it has given birth to a very young person. As a very old college, its infrastructure should not be as good as it should have been. The college is probable to expand.’
He further said, ‘Eksam Khulna city had Mongla Port office. Importers, shipping agents, everyone should bring this office back to Khulna city. The ability to keep the port of Mongla Port, Khulna alive and further effective is not built here. If the container terminal is not built here, the port will not be fully developed. In this case, initiatives are being taken.’
