The interim government is importing rice from India, the first shipment of rice will be delivered tomorrow Thursday. 24,690 tons of boiled rice is coming from India in the first shipment.

This information was informed in a press release of the Ministry of Food on Wednesday (December 25).

The notification said that the imported rice ship named MV Taniz Dream will reach Chittagong port on Thursday morning. After collecting the rice samples and after the physical examination, the ministry said that the release will start quickly.

Imdad Islam, senior information officer and public relations officer at the Ministry of Food, said that 24,690 metric tons of boiled rice imported from India will come to the country on Thursday, which is the first shipment of rice imported from India during the current interim government.

This is the first shipment of boiled rice imported from India under the agreement number 381 on November 11.
