The head of the commission, Moinul Islam Chowdhury, said that the officials involved in the missing have done the work in such a way that it is difficult to identify them, which has been identified by the various forces and the plan has been implemented in different ways.
He added that many victims of the missing are still not safe and were subjected to so much torture that they are still suffering from trauma.
In his last speech, the chief adviser in his last speech assuring the protection and proper trial of the missing victims has increased the number of reports, and the members of the commission requested Professor Yunus to visit the house. They said, ‘If you visit the house, the victims can get a break.’
The Chief Advisor agreed to their request, he will go to see the Jentent Interrogation Cell which is known as Atanaghar within a short period of time. He thanked the commission members for their interim report and assured all the cooperation in the case of taking the work forward.
The commission chief Moinul Islam Chowdhury said that they will give another interim report in March after three months and at least one more year to submit the final report after completing the work, he said.
Member of the Commission, retired Justice Md. Farid Ahmed Shibli, human rights activist Noor Khan, BRAC University teacher Nabila Idris and human rights activist Sajjad Hossain were also present at the meeting, including the Ministry of Ground and Public Works and Advisor to the Ministry of Industries Adilur Rahman Khan, Social Welfare and Women and Children Advisor Sharmin S Murshid.
