The chief advisor of the interim government has said that there has been extensive preparations from the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief to deal with the cyclone ‘wings’. Muhammad Yunus said on Wednesday (October 23) on the verified Facebook page of the Chief Advisor.
In order to deal with the typhoon ‘wings’, the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief has discussed the preparation of the cyclone with the district administrators of the coastal districts and maintaining constant communication with the district administrators. The created cyclones are ‘wings’ to deal with the standing orders on disaster (SOD).
As part of this, the District Administrators held an emergency meeting of the Disaster Management Committee at their respective conference rooms on Wednesday.CPP and Red Crescent volunteers have been formed as a preliminary preparation for the cyclone.
The activities that need to be taken up in advance to deal with this cyclone have been taken.
According to the information of the Department of Weather, the cyclonic wings located in the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas are moving further west-north-westward and concentrated in the same area (16.70 north latitude and 89.40 east longitude).
It is 665 km from Chittagong seaport. South-southwest, 600 km south-southwest of Cox's Bazar seaport, 640 km from Mongla seaport. It was located 595 km south-southeast of the south-southeast and Patrasea port, which may be further west-north-westward.
The maximum wind speed of the wind is 62 km per hour within 54 km of the cyclone center, which is increasing up to 88 km in the form of gust or swarms. The area near the cyclone center is very rough.
Meanwhile, the upazila administration has been given necessary guidance to deal with any situation related to the cyclone.
