The United States has condemned the attack on students agitating for the cancellation of quota in government jobs, while the ongoing poisoning is being monitored, said Matthew Miller, a spokesman for the country's foreign ministry.
He said these things in response to a question from journalists at the US State Department's Nimit Briefing on Saturday.
In the briefing, the journalist asked the issue of the attack of the Chhatra League on the students even after entering the university and hospital in the ongoing movement in Bangladesh.
The question is that, the day after the speech of the head of the government to the protestors demanding reform of the cut, the leaders and activists of the Chhatra League attacked the students. Where at least 500 students were injured.
In response, Miller said, ‘The United States is aware of the protest of the protests of students in various districts including Dhaka. ’So far, 2 people have been killed and the attack has been injured.’
"We condemn the attacks on peaceful protestors that serve as a foundational foundation for a developing democracy that freedom of expression and peaceful assembly," Miller added.
