A young man named Jitu Mita (30) was killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a CNG-powered autorickshaw in Brahmanbajita Bijnagar, where the accident took place on Tuesday (May 14) morning in Dattakhola area of the upazila.
The deceased Jitu Mita is the son of Katlan Mita of Bhola area of Pattan Uniton of Bijtanagar Upazila, who was a passenger in an autorickshaw.
The father of the deceased Jitu, Kalan Mita, said that in the morning, his son Jitu Mita got an autorickshaw to go to Brahmanba. When the Dattakhola area came, a motorcycle from the opposite direction collided with their autorickshaw, which rescued the seriously injured and took him to the district headquarters hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
