21 students of the madrasa were injured in a lightning strike in Nagarkanda, Faridpur, and the incident took place on Monday (May 6) at the Madinatul Uloom Madrasah located in the upazila headquarters.
On Monday evening, the students were on the balcony of the madrasa building, and suddenly 21 students of the madrasa were injured.
After first aid treatment, 10 of the injured were discharged and the remaining 11 were admitted to the hospital.
Muhtamim Maulana Mohammad Keramat Ali of Madinatul Uloom Madrasah said, ‘21 students fell ill. Of these, 10 have gone back to the madrasa with first aid. 21 students are still admitted to the hospital.’
