Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury has said that the decision to keep the class-examination going on on Friday, the weekly closure, may be coming.
He said this in a briefing at the Secretariat on Tuesday (April 30).
The education minister said that the temperature in each region of Bangladesh is different. Now the temperature in the northeastern region and the Howe region is low. However, the teaching should be stopped due to floods there within a few days due to heavy rains. Therefore, the decision to keep the classes and tests on Friday, the weekly closure, will be kept on Friday to reduce the learning gap caused by various holidays.
The Executive Department is coming to directives with the Directorate of Health and the Department of Health to teach different areas, but our work is disrupted when a self-motivated decision comes. However, we respect the court's decision and the court's decision will be followed until the appeal is appealed.
He also said that if the educational institutions are closed due to various holidays including natural disasters, the marginal students in the city will be more affected.
Earlier on Monday (April 29), the High Court ordered the closure of primary, secondary school and madrasa classes till Thursday (May 2) amid the heat wave.
