Bakshiganj Representative:
A girl (13) was rescued from Charkauri of Jamalpur's Bakshiganj upazila and 3 people were taken into police custody for being involved in the incident.
It is known that Dulal Mita (45), son of Dulu Mita of Tetulkandi village of Patori East Union of Chilmari police station of Kugram district, used to work as a ceiling in Charkaurita Seemarpa village of Bakshiganj upazila.
After working for a few months, on March 8, he was kidnapped by the teenage daughter (13) of Bakkar Sheikh of Charkauri, Charkauri, Bakshiganj upazila and was assisted by the Rangpur Nit. She was assisted by Chakkaurita Seemarpasu village Samchul Haque's son Mustafa (40) and Mustafa's wife Khuku Moni (30).
After the incident, the father of the abducted girl made a GD in Bakshiganj Thana.
Based on the GD, the police brought the kidnapped Dulal and the abducted girl back to Seemarpa village in Bakshiganj. Later, the kidnapped girl was rescued by the same kidnapper Dulal Mita and the helper Charkaurita, the village of Seemarpa, Mustafa and wife Khuku Moni, the police in custody.
In this regard, Bakshiganj police station officer-in-charge Abdul Ahad Khan said that the girl has been rescued and the mastermind of the incident, Dulal Mita, has also been arrested. Two more have been brought into police custody for questioning.
