In the space of 14 days in Dwip district Bhola, an olive Riddle Sea turtle has been recovered again in the space of 14 days. The upazila forest department recovered the turtle from the banks of the Meghna river on the east side of Ishwarganj village of Ramneoz of the upazila on Monday morning (15 January).
It is believed that the turtle will come to the river bank to lay its eggs and get stuck in the sand.
According to the local sources, the fishermen caught fish from the river and found the turtles stuck in the sand. Later, when the fishermen called the patrol of the forest department and informed them, the forest department rescued the turtle. The forest department confirmed the turtles of the rare species of olive color. Later, the turtle was released in the cloud river near the forest of Manpura in the presence of the local people and journalists.
In this case Ramneoz Beat Officer Zahidul Islam Milon said, "It is a rare species of olive colored turtles whose weight is 80 kg. However, it is not always so many turtles that are so big. When fishermen find out our patrols quickly, we quickly rescued the turtles. Later, we released the turtle in the Meghna river when we came to know the local people and journalists."
