twelfth The nationwide strike called by BNP started from 6 am on Saturday (January 8) from 6 am (88 hours) to 6 am (48 hours) in favor of national election boycott and non-cooperation movement.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the program at an emergency virtual press conference on Thursday (January 4) afternoon, which was announced by the like-minded parties and alliances who were in the same movement with the BNP on the same day.
On that day, Rizvi said that the resignation of the illegal Awami government and the re-establishment of the independent supervisory system during the election period will be held in favor of the ‘one-sided’ election boycott and non-cooperation movement and like-minded parties will hold this 48-hour strike program.
On January 7, BNP has been calling for non-cooperation to call for votes to boycott the mass communication and leaflet distribution program across the country including Dhaka from December 26.
