A gazette of the Chandraganj Uniton Parishad of Laxmipur Sadar Upazila has been published as a municipality.

Before this, last Wednesday (November 22), the local government, rural development and co-op Ministry of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, this gazette was published through the notification of the Department of Government Municipal-2.
According to the gazette sources, 2 Agrahaans 1424 Bengal/ 16 November 2017/ SR No No. 320 Act/2017.- The Government under the power of Sub-section (1) of the Local Government (Municipal) Act 2009 (Act No. 58 of 2009) is the government under the power of sub-section (1) of the Laxmipur Sadar Upazila, Chandraganj Municipality, 13 Mozas of Chandraganj Municipality will be announced for the formation of Chandraganj Municipality.
The areas of the mauzas covered by the municipal city are, Amani Lakshmipur, Tairabnagar, Panchpaja, Deopaja, Paschim Latifpur, Ramakrishnapur, Sekhpura, Chhota Rashidpur, Ganipur, Rajapur, Ramchandrapur, Vasuduhita and Dakshin Dhanyapur.
It is further informed that according to the provisions of the said section 3 sub-section (3), the concerned Union Parishad can file a written objection against this proposal within 1 month of the publication of the notification regarding the intention of the city area.
Meanwhile, after the announcement of the gazette, there is joy among the people of Chandraganj area. The locals said that the quality of life including education, culture, business and trade will be more prosperous as a result of the formation of the municipality.
It is noted that Chandraganj Unit was known as a terrorist-rich area of armed terror, and later a police station was established to eliminate terrorism. The efforts of the administration and journalists and locals will eliminate terrorism but the large amount of weapons of the terrorists was declared a municipality by the government of Bangladesh.
