The polling of the executive committee of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), the organization of the most local organization of reporters working in Dhaka, is going on.
Voting will begin at 9 am on Wednesday at 5 pm at DRU's Nasrul Hamid Milnattan in the capital's Segunbagicha.
In this election, four candidates have been candidates for the post of president, while three candidates have been nominated for the post of general secretary, eight candidates for seven posts of executive members, among them, Zago News senior reporter Saeed Shipon is contesting.
Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul has been appointed as the Chief Election Commissioner in the DRU elections.
The four candidates for the post of president are Kabir Ahmed Khan, Sakhawat Hossain Badsha, Saita Shukur Ali Shubo and Zahirul Haque Rana.
There are three candidates for the post of general secretary, they are Mainul Hasan Sehel, Abdullah Al Kafi and Mohiuddin.
Gazi Anwar, Halim Mohammad and Shafiqul Islam Shamim are voting for the post of vice president.
Maidur Rahman Rubel and Mizanur Rahman (Mizan Rahman) are voting for one post of joint editor, Kamruzzaman Bablu and Zakir Hussain are for the post of Finance Secretary.
The post of organizing secretary is four, including Abdul Hai Tuhin, Hasan Javed, Khalid Saifullah and MM Jasim.

Monotar Hossain has been elected unopposed for the post of cultural secretary without any candidate before this.
On the other hand, the candidates for seven posts of the executive member are eight: Delotar Hossain Mohin, Farhana Ishtamin (Junthi), Habibur Rahman (Habib Rahman), Hasan Imam Imran, Shariful Islam, Muhibbullah Muhib, Rafiq Mridha and Saeed Shipon.
