twelfth The Election Commission (EC) has formed a committee to investigate the political parties or candidates in 300 parliamentary constituencies across the country ahead of the National Assembly elections.
These committees have been asked to investigate the issues related to ‘pre-election irregularities’ and submit them to the commission in the form of a report within three days. Therefore, the commission has also directed to submit the proposal or recommendation to the EC in the same context.
The EC has given this instruction to the investigation committee through the issuance of circular-5 on Saturday.
In the meantime, the Commission has formed 300 election investigation committees across the country in conjunction with a joint district judge or senior assistant judge for every constituency for the purpose of preventing and determining the pre-election election.
