On the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation and Eye Donation Day, Ralli, discussion meeting and blood donation program was held in Lakshmipur.
On Thursday (02 November) at 10.30 pm in front of Sadar Hospital, the event was held at the district health department.
Deputy Commissioner Suraiya Jahan, Civil Surgeon Ahmed Kabir were present in this meeting.
Besides, Laxmipur District Bangladesh Medical Association and Independence Doctors Council President Md. Dr. Zakir Hossain, Consultant Doctor Morshed Alam Hero of Laxmipur District Sadar Hospital, Doctor Shamim Afzal and other members of various voluntary organizations were present.
The discussion meeting was informed by the doctors about the benefits of blood donation and advised to donate blood.
Also present at the event was the humane director of Ashura General Hospital, Al Juba, Jimmy.
