The United Nations has expressed concern about the violence surrounding the gathering of political parties in Bangladesh, which has called on all parties to refrain from violence.

The spokesperson of the Secretary General of the United Nations Stephen Dujarric gave this information in a local briefing on Monday (October 30).

He said that the violence in the political gatherings in Bangladesh is concerned that at least 9 people have died and many more have been injured, and Guterres has urged all parties to refrain from violence or excessive use of violence or indiscriminate detention, while he stressed the right to freedom of expression and the right to hold peaceful assembly.

"We still think that it is important to have a calm and respect for freedom of expression of all people before the election, but I don't think anyone can predict the election," Stephen Dujaric said in response to a question.

Earlier, UN Secretary-General spokesman Stephen Dujarric spoke about the upcoming national elections in Bangladesh last August, he said that they want to see a free, fair and impartial election in Bangladesh.
