The police recovered the bullet-ridden body of Masum Billah alias Laden Masum, accused in 28 cases including the murder of top terrorists of Lakshmipur, weapons and extortion.
His body was recovered from the Boat Pond of Balaishpur in Sadar Upazila Balaishpur in the early hours of Thursday (02 November).
According to the police, around 3 pm, the terrorist Masum was killed in the shelling between the locals Kala Masood, Shahadat and Laden Masum forces. 2 LGs, a double-barreled gun, a single-barreled gun, 11 bullet shells and 30 hydraulic bombs were recovered from the spot.
The deceased Laden Masum is the son of Maulana Hafiz Ullah of Laharkandi village of Sadar Upazila and has filed 28 cases against him, including murder extortion, police said.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandraganj Police Station. Mokhtar Hossain said that when the police went to the spot after the police went to the spot, the terrorists were found to be carrying a bullet-ridden body in the garden. Later, the locals identified the body as top terrorist Laden Masum. OC Moktar Hossain said that the weapons, bullets and bombs were recovered from the scene.
