Laxmipur district BNP held a protest march demanding the withdrawal of arrests against the leaders and activists against the central leader Annie and the release of the prisoners. On Wednesday (September 13) afternoon, BNP leader Shahid Uddin Chowdhury ended with a short rally and speech at the bus building premises in Laxmipur, Laxmipur.
District BNP member Md. Nizam Uddin Bhui, Ed. Hafizur Rahman, Harunur Rashid Bepari, Sadar (West) BNP Ahbak Main Uddin Chowdhury Ritaz, Bar Association President Ed. Ferdous Ahmed Manik, Municipal BNP Ahbatak Mahbubur Rahman Liton, Member Secretary Professor Nizam Uddin, District Youth Party Ahbaz Rezaul Karim Liton, District Volunteer Party President Ed. Mohsin Kabir Swapan, General Secretary Harunur Rashid and others.
BNP leaders said that on July 18, the police attacked the peaceful program of the district BNP without provocation. The attack was injured by the police and hundreds of leaders and activists were injured. On the other hand, the Chhatra League killed Krishak League leader Sajib in Kupi, but the BNP leaders and activists were accused of the incident of that day. The false case filed by the police and Awami League leader has recently been sent to 27 people in the jail with the district BNP's joint Ahbat Hachibur Rahman.
The leaders said in a warning that the movement that started with a one-point demand cannot be stopped by filing a false case against BNP leaders and activists, arresting and torting.
He also said that if the prison leaders are not released by tomorrow, then they will be freed through the movement.
Incidentally, the court has issued an arrest warrant against BNP's publicity secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, BNP Chairperson's advisor Abul Khair Bhuiyan and Laxmipur district BNP member secretary Shahabuddin Sabu on September 10.
Also, the court rejected bail by the leaders of the district Chhatra Dal and the leaders of the BNP organizations and the leaders of the BNP organizations and the leaders of the BNP's affiliated organizations, including Lakshmipur district BNP joint convener Advocate Hasibur Rahman Hasib, District Chhatra Dal President Hasan Mahmud Ibrahim, General Secretary Abdullah Al Mamun.
