Janmashtami of Lord Krishna, one of the festivals of Sanatan Dharmalamambi, has been celebrated in Lakshmipur among various events.
On Wednesday (September 06) at 5 pm, a colorful rally started from Shyam Sundar Jiur Akshia premises in the city and ended in the main samsak of the city.
The discussion meeting held earlier was the chief guest, Member of Parliament of Laxmipur-2 Constituency Ed. Nuruddin Chowdhury Nathn. The event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Begum Suraita Jahan.
District Puja Celebration Parishad President Swapan Chandra Nath presided over and General Secretary Shimul Sahar moderated as special guests, Additional Deputy Commissioner Meher Nigar, Additional Jala Magistrate Pritangka Dutta, District Police Superintendent Muhammad Tarek Bin Rashid, Laxmipur Municipality Metor Mozammel Hadar Masum Bhui, District Hindu, Buddhist Christian Union, General Secretary Ed. Milan Mandal.
A day-long District Puja Celebration Council also held a 100 students' participation in it, and later the guests presented their hand prizes and certificates, and the world's peace was also offered for the world's peace and prayers.
