On the occasion of the 48th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the mournful August-2023, a discussion meeting and debate competition was held by Saddam Hussain Hall of Islamic University (EB).
The discussion meeting and debate competition was held on Tuesday (August 29) at 3 pm in the TV room of Saddam Hussain Hall of the University.
In the event, the provost of Saddam Hossain Hall. Under the chairmanship of Asaduzzaman, the chief guest was the president of the Provost Council, Professor Dr. Debashish Sharma was present as the main speaker of the University's Transport Administrator Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain. The special guest was the resident teacher of the hall, associate professor Dr. Sutap Kumar Ghosh, Assistant Professor Sohail Rana and Feroz Al Mamun, President of EB Press Club Abu Huraira and University Debating Society General Secretary Nazmus Saqib, were present in the hall.
The debate competition was held in the first part of the program, which was a poison of controversy, which the parliament believes that ‘family distance is the main cause of suicide’.
Saddam Hussain is the South Block and Saddam Hossain is the North Block as the opposition party in the debate.
Abdul Bari Sharif (Prime Minister), Mamunur Rashid (Minister) and Shishir Ahmed (Member of Parliament) participated in the debate as debaters of the government party, while Mustafizur Rahman (opposition leader), Russell Ahmed (opposition leader) and Ahmad Ghalib (opposition MP) participated as debaters of the opposition party.
Associate Professor Dr. Hall's resident teacher was present as a judge. Sutap Kumar Ghosh, Assistant Professor Sohail Rana and Feroz Al Mamun and EB Press Club President and TV Debater Abu Huraira are the speakers of the Dutydatman Saddam Hussein Hall Debating Society President Didarul Islam Russell.
In the debate competition, Saddam Hussein won the South Block as the government team and Ahmad Ghalib of North Block of Saddam Hussain Hall was selected as the best speaker.
The second phase of the program was held in the discussion meeting and the discussion meeting was awarded to all the contestants including the winning team.
