Journalists of Banshkhali Press Club held a human chain program in front of Banshkhali Upazila Parishad on Sunday, June 18, to protest the killing of journalist Golam Rabbani Nadeem in PTT and demand exemplary punishment of the killers.
Maulana Shafkat Hossain Chatgami, president of Banshkhali representative press club of Daily Chittagong Manch, presided over the human chain held in the afternoon.
Shah Mohammad Shafiullah, Banshkhali representative of Daily Ittefaq newspaper and General Secretary of Banshkhali Press Club, Jasim Uddin Mahmud Talukdar, Chittagong District Representative of Pallinews Online also spoke in the human chain.,

The speakers said that media freedom was talked about but in reality journalists were being killed if they wrote the truth. Even though many journalists have been killed, no incident has been prosecuted till date. He strongly demanded the administration to kill journalists, torture, disappear, murder and set an example of freedom and security of the media.
