The new committee of the 2023-24 financial year of the Islamic University's non-political, voluntary and public welfare organization has been formed in the financial year 2023-24. In this, Maruf Hossain, a student of the 2018-19 academic year of the Department of Medical Engineering and Rifat Mashrafe, a student of the Marketing Department as the General Secretary, has been selected as the president.
Achint Bhadra Sagar, a student of Law and Land Management Department, 2018-19 academic year, has also been elected as vice-president.
On Saturday (June 17), the ‘14th Annual General Meeting, Election and Subordinating Member's Reception 2023’ of the Day-long Tarunya was held in Room No. 116 of the University's Student-Teacher Cultural Center (TSCC) and was elected president and general secretary for the next financial year 2023-24 by direct vote of the members.
The election was held under the leadership of the three-member Election Commission headed by Mehdi Hasan Shakib, the founding member of youth and 5th president, which was elected by direct vote of the newly traveled and pioneering members.
The voters voted directly from 210 voters in the election and elected the president and general secretary from 62 candidates, after the polling of the polls from 3 pm for a few hours, the name of the new leadership will be announced for the next one year.
Before this, the program started with a welcome speech by the organization's general secretary Tariqul Islam, jointly conducted by the member of the organization Shah Mohammad Naeem and Rita Basak.
