The Department of Meteorology has said that the severe to mild heat wave may continue for the next three days, including Dhaka, but the organization also has the possibility of rainfall in several parts of the country.

It said that a severe heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Jessore and Chuadanga, while the remnants of Rangpur, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions including Dhaka and Barisal divisions and Mymensingh, Moulvibazar, Chandpur, Noakhali and Feni districts are swept and moderate.
The notification, signed by meteorologist Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallick, further informed that the extension of the western low pressure is currently located in West Bengal and adjoining areas, which is where there may be temporary gust of rain or thunder with thunder in two places in Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.
In addition, the weather may remain mainly dry with partially cloudy skies elsewhere in the country, but the heat wave may continue across the country for the next three days.
