The polling of Gazipur City Corporation has ended in an untoward incident and now the counting of votes is going on. Among the total 426 centers, the votes of 426 centers have been completed, and the candidate of the former metropolis has been awarded as the most popular candidate for the first time.

Election Commissioner Alamgir Hossain said, ‘The news that we have received from the law enforcement agencies, election commission officials, observers team and the media on our behalf is the election of the Gazipur City election in a very fair and peaceful manner. All the candidates who participated in the election said that they are very satisfied with the election system and why they should not come.’
A total of 333 candidates contested in the country's largest city elections, including 79 candidates for the post of Metr and 246 candidates for the post of General Councilor.
The total number of voters in Gazipur City Corporation, which is formed on 57 OTERARD, is 11 lakh 79 thousand 476. Among them 5 lakh 92 thousand 762 male voters and 5 lakh 86 thousand 696 female voters. There are also 18 voters of the opposite sex (Hijja).
