Laxmipur: The police have arrested Abu Noor Sohag (35), general secretary of Kamalnagar Upazila Volunteer Party of Laxmipur.
He was sent to jail by the court on Saturday (August 19) afternoon. Earlier on Friday (August 18) night, he was arrested from his own bazaar in Char Falcon village.
Sohag is the son of Abu Taher of Isubnagar area of Char Falcon Unity in Upazila, he is a professional rural doctor.
According to the sources of the Dalit, the poster of the Sechchasevak party was put up on Friday night under the leadership of Sohag and the police had planned a joyous procession on Saturday morning.
Kamalnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Akul Chandra Biswas said that a case of sabotage has been filed against him and the case has been arrested.
