This information is known from a report of the Statistics of Civil Officers and Staff of the Ministry of Public Administration.
According to the report, there are 19 lakh 13 thousand 52 posts in government jobs, 15 lakh 54 thousand 927 people are working. There are 3 lakh 58 thousand 125 vacancies.
According to the information received, 43 thousand 336 first class posts, 40 thousand 561 posts of second class, 1 lakh 51 thousand 548 posts of class and 1 lakh 22 thousand 680 posts of class IV are vacant.
When asked about the vacancy of filling up the vacant posts, Minister of State for Public Administration Farhad Hossain recently said that the ongoing process of the business against the vacant posts in government offices is through the first and second class companies through PSC.
14th to 20th grade appointment is in accordance with the Regulations of the Ministry/Department/Officer/Organization of the concerned Ministry. The case in the court is not completed and the promotional code of the regulation is not completed and some vacancies cannot be filled.
