Gazipur Representative:
The police recovered the body of a young man with his throat slit from a locked house in Gazipur. The police recovered the body from Hazrat Ali's Bhaja Deota house in Bagher Bazar area of Gazipur Sadar Upazila around 9 pm on Saturday.
The name of the rescued person is Ashraful Alam (33).
He is the son of Omar Farooq of Kanuhari (Karachapur) village of Mohanganj upazila in Netrakona and lived in Tongi area of Gazipur City Corporation.
Jatdevpur police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mahtab Uddin confirmed the recovery of the body and said that Omar Farooq's wife used to live in the house of Hazrat Ali in the Bagher Bazar area. He was working as a security guard at a local garment factory.
His son Ashraful Alam lived in Tongi area.
The OC said that Ashraful was intoxicated from Tongi, who came to his parents and used to scam money when he did not pay the money. He used to beat his parents.
Ashraful came to Baba's Bazaar on Friday and beat his mother for money.They have been locked from outside the house since Saturday (May 06) morning. Even though they did not come in the evening, they suspected that the people in the surrounding houses were suspicious and after they informed the local UP members and Jtadevpur police station, the police broke the lock and entered the house at 9 pm.
After seeing Ashraful Alam's throat cut from under the sword, a chapati was found next to the body. It is believed that the parents were fed up with the torture and torture of the son, and the parents may have slaughtered him in his sleep on Friday (May 05).
