‘Anti-raging rally against the theme of ’Ragging Free University, Guarantees Student Friendly Campus'
The Islamic University (EB) administration has made it to 10 am on Sunday (April 2). Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. from the administration building premises. The rally was led by Sheikh Abdus Salam.
SMO Anti Ragging Committee on the convenor Proctor Professor Dr. Shahadat Hossain Azad was present under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, treasurer Professor Dr. Alamgir Hossain Bhui, acting registrar HM Ali Hasan, vice president of the teachers association Professor Dr. Paresh Chandra Burman, General Editor Professor Dr. Tapan Kumar Joddar, President of Shapla Forum Professor Dr. Mamunur Rahman, General Secretary Professor Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, president of the law department Professor Dr. Reba Mandal and others.
The rally was held in the various civics of the university and gathered at the mural of ‘Mrityunjati Mujib’. Then a short discussion meeting was held there.
Essam Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sheikh Abdus Salam said, ‘Ragging is not taught to live with our dignity and head high. Identify those who are involved in hateful activities like ragging. If this incident happens again, I will not need to go to the High Court. I am ready to take any risk for this. Today we promise that there should be no anti-ragging rally or rally in the future.’
