On the occasion of Genocide Day, a discussion meeting and lamp lighting ceremony was held in Raatpur along with tributes.
On Saturday (March 25), the upazila administration and Sabuj Sena Khelaghar Asar organized these programs separately at the upazila level.
At 10 am, a discussion meeting and tribute ceremony was held at the Ratpur Upazila Parishad conference room on the basis of the upazila administration.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Anjna Das, Upazila Chairman and President of Upazila Aomi League Principal Mamunur Rashid was present as the chief guest.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) was present as a special guest. Russell Iqbal, General Secretary of Upazila Aomi League Rafiqul Hadar Babul Pathan, Secondary Education Officer Md. Saiful Haque and others.
Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Md. Sohanur Rahman, upazila animal resource officer Dr. Ataur Rahman, Fisheries Officer Emdad Hossain, Social Service Officer Mazharul Islam and other officials and employees of various public and private institutions.
The discussion meeting was discussed by the guests on March 25, highlighting the black-night genocide and the brutality of the Pakistani invading forces.
Meanwhile, along with the upazila administration, the Sabuj Sena held a discussion meeting and lamp on the occasion of the event. Under the chairmanship of Journalist Pradeep Rat, president of the Sabuj Sena Khelaghar Asar, and general secretary Abul Kasem Khokar, the member of the general secretary Abul Kasem Khokar, the member and the chief advisor of the organization Shankar Majumdar, Sinitra vice-president Alim Ulya Pintu, organizing secretary Nasir Al Imran, and campaign secretary Naimul Rabi were present.
