Laxmipur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Imran Hossain has been accused of insulting a UP Chairman, which was filed by the victim, the CHP Chandraganj Union Parishad, who was accused in a written complaint with the Deputy Commissioner yesterday.
According to the complaint, on December 29, Deputy Commissioner Anonor Hoshain Akand inaugurated the work of the multi-storey shed of fish market in Chandraganj. 30 January evening UNO Imran Hossain visited the work. At that time, UP Chairman Nurul Amin Bazar was in a public meeting. He was present at the phone of the UNO. Although it was supposed to be, the UNO gave the credit to the preferred contractor, then UNO gave a check of Tk 10 lakh to the contractor for the contractor, but the contractor did not start the work as per the contract.
For this reason, Cheeterman objected to take that check. He was angry that he publicly insulted Cheterman, he threatened to ‘kick the Cheterman and throw him in the canal, I will send you a cheterman like you, I will send you a cheeter, I will send you, I will go to the country, and I will go to the city’.
UP Chetrman Nurul Amin said, ‘UNO has threatened to kick me and throw me into the canal.’
When asked to comment on this matter, UNO called Imran Hossain several times but he did not receive.
