In Manohardi, Narsingdi, allowances will be provided to the beneficiaries under the Directorate of Social Services among the beneficiaries under the Directorate of Social Services and the IGA trainees under the Directorate of Women's Poisons.
On Tuesday (January 31) in the Upazila Parishad hall, the allowance will be given to this microfinance and IGA trainees through a ceremony organized by the Directorate of Social Services and Women's Department of Women.
The Department of Social Services of the Upazila provides 6 lakh taka to 50 trainees in Fashion Design and Crystal Show-Pace Trade under the IGA project under the Directorate of Social Services under the poverty alleviation programme, 35 lakh 30 thousand taka for cow rearing, sewing, handiwork and small business among 122 beneficiaries.
Manohardi Upazila Executive Officer Md. Rezaul Karim presided over the event as the chief guest, Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner Abu Naeem Mohammad Maruf Khan.
Also, the District Commissioner distributed 10 types of seeds and seedlings among 200 farmers in the morning at Hatirdida Chat Ali Adarsh High School in the premises of Eve teasing, child marriage, dowry and women abuse prevention and social awareness seminars.
Essmut was also present, Upazila Parishad Chairman Md. Saiful Islam Khan Biru, Municipal Metro Aminur Rashid Sujan, Upazila Vice Cheterman Eng: MS Iqbal Ahmed, Afroza Sultana Ruby, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Moniruzzaman, female poison officer Rehena Akhtar, chairman of various union councils, former freedom fighter commander Matiur Rahman Tara and beneficiaries etc.
