The government has banned the beautifying and garbage-supervised ‘sucker’ fish of the aquarium in all types of water bodies in the country. In the meantime, the import, production and marketing of this fish has been legally issued by the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.
Earlier on September 25, the Ministry issued the Protection and Conservation of Fish Act, 1950 amendment proposal in the form of a notification to ban Sakar fish. If anyone has any objection or suggestion in this poison, Mrinal Kanti Dey, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, should be informed in writing within two months in writing.
It is said in the notification of the Ministry, ‘Since, the said pre-publication has already passed 2 (two) months of the same and based on the opinion received on the proposed amendment, the government has taken a final decision on the issue of further amendment of the said rules.
