If the question of any examination conducted by Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) is leaked, the ‘Bangladesh Public Service Commission Act 2023 Bill’ has been passed in Parliament with the provision of maximum 10 years imprisonment and fine for the judges.
If a person provides a written answer, book, written paper, page or any quotation from there to an examinee or if he helps in the examination hall or verbally or through a mechanical device, he will be punished with imprisonment for a maximum of two years and fine.
On Monday (January 16), State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain presented the bill in the National Parliament for the passage of the bill.
After verification of public opinion on the bill, the bill was passed by voice vote at the disposal of the Speaker after the selection proposal.
The new Act was to be enacted by abolishing the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Ordinance in 1977. The bill states that the Bangladesh Public Service Commission established under the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Ordinance will remain as if it has been established under the new law.
